Below are pictures of our horses. We currently own 5, 2 of which were adopted from Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue. Natalee & Shawn are wonderful people who are dedicated to saving horses everyday. Please visit their website for information on how you can help www.blazesequinerescue.com

Junior is the first pony we've ever had. We adopted him in 2004. He is just a big horse in a pony's body. He is a big fat butterball. He has the sweetest dispostion and my children have learned so much on him. Merlin was our 2nd adopted horse. He made his trip home May 28, 2006. As soon as we saw him, we knew we had to have him. He is a large boy standing at almost 16H but you would never know he was that big. He is very careful around the little ones. I don't think he would jurt a fly. He LOVES carrots and will do anything he can to get one. He even does tricks. He will pick up his rope when asked and if you say "For shame Merlin", he will put his head down under your arm. He is a big lover. Then we have Studly. He is my 9 yr. old Arabian baby. He is spoiled rotten and gets very jealous if he thinks he's not getting enough attention. Cheif is the old man of the place. I purchased him for my kids several years ago. He came from a pretty bad place and had not had the best life. He has taught my kids the meaning of owning and caring for a horse. He is now retired to the pasture to live out the rest of his days.  Pie is our 3 yr. old Paint. He is absolutely beautiful. He is Junior's buddy and hates to be away from him. He will be going to Natalee & Shawn of Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue this summer to be trained. I will ad more pictures soon.

Chief was laid to rest in the fall of 2007. His age combined with is arthritic kness, I sadly had to make the decision to have him humanely euthanized. Chief was buried her on our farm and is greatly missed.

We adopted 2 very young colts. Lucky is a beautiful, sorrel & white Paint and belongs to my daughter. Cody is a beautiful Palomino and belongs to my son. I cannot wait until these 2 sweethearts are old enough for me to train. They follow us around like little puppies.

An unforseen tragedy happened during the night of July 12, 2008. We had a terrible storm come through and due to lightning, lost 2 of our beloved horses. Merlin & Studly lost their lives together. While our hearts are still trying to recover from this we know that they are running free with Chief. They were buried next to Chief.

After hours upon hours of searching for another perfect horse for my daughter, I finally found him. Last fall we made the short drive to Bentonville, Ar. to meet Tucker. A beautiful, black & white Paint. Needless to say, Tucker is now a part of our family. While he will never replace Merlin, he is loved just as much. I believe, in a strange way, that Tucker was ment to be here with us. We have had a lot of sadness the last few years with the loss of some of our beloved family members but with sadness also comes happiness. Don't forget to tell your beloved pets you love them, because like humans, you never know when there time on Earth will be through.

UPDATE:

We now have a total of 11 horses living with us. My soon to be hubby has brought over his 3 horses, Brandy, Charlie, And Sam. We have also rescued 2 BLM Mustangs, Merlin and S.B. from the sale barn. Merlin is named after my daughter's horse who passed away last year. S.B. will earn a new name soon, please don't ask what it stands for. Merlin is one of the greatest horses I have ever known. You would never know he was once wild. He is a joy to be around and ride. S.B. is slowly coming along. It is apparent that someone was not very kind to him. With time, love, and patience we believe he will be just as great as Merlin. How someone could take these 2 boys, or any horse for that matter, to the sale barn is beyond me. I will never understand. They carry the BLM's US RESCUE brand on their necks, in my opinon should say US GREED!

We now also have my sister's 8 year old AQHA stud, Houdini. I am currently breaking him to ride. You would never know he's a stud. He is so mellow. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He is drop dead georgeous! We are currently breeding him to Brandy with hopes of having a little Houdini in the future. Houdini will be available for stud soon. Check back for pictures of this beautiful boy.
